WATCH D.O.G.S (Dads of Gret Students) is an innovative program focusing on education and safety in schools by using the positive influence of fathers and father-figures for a two fold puprose:

1) to provide an unobtrusive fathering presence, and
2) to provide a positive and active role model for students att he school.

   The purpose of the Lone Oak Family Resource Youth Service Center is to enhance to students’ abilities to succeed in school by assisting children, youth and families in meeting some of their basic needs. The Lone Oak Center promotes networking between families and community resources by linking then to services in the community or providing them with services through our Center. The Center offers a number of programs including parenting skills, baby-sitting skills, support groups and self- esteem classes. The Center staff will work with parents, teachers, guidance counselors, principals and families to find solutions to eliminate barriers and promote the healthy growth and development of every student.  The Center is available to all children, parents, and families enrolled in the McCracken County School System.  who attend Lone Oak Elementary, Hendron/Lone Oak Elementary, and Lone Oak Elementary.Middle School.

  • Health and education service for new and expecting
 parents
  • Education to enhance parenting skills

  • Education for preschool parents and children

  • Assistance for obtaining a GED/Vocational Counseling
