RELAY FOR LIFE
Every Thursday, for $1.00, You can stay after school and play dodgeball, wii, or Zoomba. You must have transportation, if you ride the Heath Elementary bus you have to leave at 3:30 but if you have your parent come get you then you get to stay until 4:00. Activities start at 2:30 until 3:30 if you ride the bus but if you get your parents to pick you up the it lasts till 4:00. All proceeds benefit Relay for Life and the fight against cancer.

ART CLUB
Art club is for students (grade 6-8) who are more serious about art and want to expand their knowledge and talent. New membership is opened twice a year where students try out by submitting five of their best art art works (they may be 2D or 3D) in a portfolio presentation. Students names are covered and given a number for fairness. Judges made up of different teachers, pick a selected number for membership.
STLP
Student Technology Leadership Program is a club where students do project based activities designed to benefit the community with the use of technology. The club is open to any middle school student. Students will complete projects and participate in the Regional competition at Murray State University. Teams that qualify at the Regional competition will compete at the state level in the spring.
SCRAP BOOK
Mrs.White is the sponsor of the scrap book club.Sept. 9th from 2:30 to 4:30 is the first meeting, there’s a $3.00 fee to cover the costs of supplies. You need to bring your favorite project to work on or just come and learn a new technique.
PROJECT LEAD THE WAY
Project Lead the way is a robotics, technology, engineering class where you design and build prototypes of dragsters and many different things. You get to mess around on a program called inventor program.
FUTURE PROBLEM SOLVING
Future Problem Solving is an internatioanlly recognized award winning program that encourages critical thinkin FPS fosters investigation , ingenuity, creativity, and cooperative learning. FPS is part of the HMS adacemic team. Tryouts are held each fall.
ACADEMIC TEAM
The academic team is composed of 7th and 8th grade students competing against other schools in quick recall and written composition matches. Quick recall is typically played with 2 teams of 4 to 5 players. A moderator reads a question and players buzz in using buzzers to answer questions.
