grade registration

February 27th-8th grade informational meeting with high school guidance office 8:00 a.m.

February 28th-Guidance counselors will meet with all 8th grader during their science classes

February 28th-8th grade parent meeting in the high school auditorium 6 p.m.
February 29th-small groups meetings at the high school
February 29th-Lisa Stephenson from WKCTC will speak with 8th grade students in Science classes about the Community Scholarship Program and Careers.
March 1-8th grade science classes register for freshmen classes in the middle school library
March 2-make up registration day

Heath Middle School is hosting “Starting the Transition” nights at both Heath Elementary and Concord Elementary schools. These are opportunities for parents of 5^th Graders to come and gain some knowledge about the next steps in their student’s lives. If you have friends or family members that will have a 2012-2013 6^th Grader, please encourage them to come. Our next meeting at Heath Elementary is scheduled for February 21 at 6:30. The next meeting at Concord Elementary is scheduled for February 23 at 6:30. If you currently have an HMS student, but will be transitioning another child to HMS we also encourage you to come. Important information about classes and registration will be talked about in the upcoming meetings.

We are starting the planning for the 2012-2013 school year. In the next few days we will be sending out a survey asking you your opinion about our courses, schedule, and other items. When this survey is sent out, please respond to it. This information will be vital to the continued success of Heath Middle School. It will be an electronic survey, so it will be just a matter of logging on and clicking your response. Once survey results have been analysized we will begin working on the scheduling process. IMPORTANT DATES: March 12 and March 13. HMS will be having Registration Informational Nights starting at 6:00. You will not need to attend both meetings, but it is important that you attend one. Information about available courses and directions on the registration process will be discussed. Please make every effort to attend one of these meetings.
