21st Century Learners
Hendron-Lone Oak is dedicated to providing our students with the best instruction and tools possible. Below are a few of the things we have done to help our students prepare for their bright futures.
Math in Focus
Math in Focus offers the authentic Singapore math pedagogy with fewer topics taught in greater depth at each grade level. The program features visual representations and modeling strategies to solve complex problems; a consistent concrete-pictorial-abstract progression; and strong development of both conceptual understanding, place value, and computational fluency so students that understand the "how" as well as the "why."

From Crayons to College
Our focus at HLOE is not just to prepare your students for the next grade or for middle school; rather we are focused on preparing each student at our school to go to college. This year each classroom drew a college at our kick-off that they will be learning about and studying all year. Each month classes will complete a different activity to learn about college and their class's university. Check out all the different universities we are learning about this year!
