The purpose of the Lone Oak Family Resource Youth Service Center is to enhance students' abilities to succeed in school by assisting children, youth, and families in meeting some of their basic needs.  The Lone Oak Center promotes networking between families and community resources by linking them to services in the community or providing them with services through our center.  The center offers a number of programs including parenting skills, baby-sitting skills, support groups and self-esteem classes.  The center staff will work with parents, teachers, guidance counselors, principals, and families to find solutions to eliminate barriers and promote the healthy growth and development of every student.  The center is available to all children, parents, and families enrolled in the McCracken County School System who attend Lone Oak Elementary, Hendron/Lone Oak Elementary, and Lone Oak Middle School.  The main office of the Family Resource Center is open 8:00-4:30 Monday through Thursday and 8:00-3:30 on Friday and during the summer.
