Welcome to Commonwealth Middle College!
Opened in 2009, the Commonwealth Middle College allows high school students to get a jump start on their future. One hundred and sixty high school juniors and seniors from McCracken, Marshall, Graves and Paducah Tilghman high schools take college courses at West Kentucky Community and Technical College each morning and enriched high school classes each afternoon.

Juniors may take two college classes each morning and their high school classes (English, chemistry, physics, U.S. history, government/economics, pre-calculus, algebra II and geometry) in the afternoon. Seniors continue to earn college credit while finishing their high school requirements. Classes count as dual-credit.
Students may earn up to 36 hours tuition-free. Books are also provided at no cost to students.
The Commonwealth Middle College was developed through a partnership with West Kentucky Community and Technical College, The Lay Family Foundation, McCracken County Public Schools and Marshall County Public Schools.
